For Fall/Winter 2016, Boston-based New Balance Athletics, Inc. is excited to release the New Balance MiUK Surplus Pack. Celebrating the brand’s 110th anniversary, the pack leverages surplus materials in some of New Balance’s most iconic MiUK styles.
The New Balance Surplus Pack includes five classic models – 1500, 670, 575, 576 and 577 – along with a new silhouette created for the anniversary, the 991.5. Made in Flimby, each silhouette includes sections that have been individually selected from the factory’s most premium surplus material. Every piece marks a different part of New Balance MiUK’s unique history. In celebration of the 110th anniversary of New Balance, only 1,906 pairs of each silhouette will be released, complete with individually numbered hang-tags.
The New Balance MiUK 991.5 combines the classic 991 upper with a 1500 sole unit. The new model pays homage to New Balance’s domestic manufacturing heritage in the UK while also symbolizing the evolution of New Balance Lifestyle through the re-imagination of two classic models for a new, modern silhouette.
The Surplus Pack drop 1 releases September 3rd, consisting of M991.5SP, M670SP and M576SP.
The Surplus Pack drop 2 releases September 24th, consisting of M577SP, M1500SP and M575SP.
