Adidas Helps Athletes Run Light in 6.7 oz. adizero Feather 2

Today adidas launches the 6.7 ounce adizero Feather 2, one of the lightest everyday running shoes built to help make athletes faster.

“Every athlete knows the importance of running to get faster for their sport and the adizero Feather 2, one of the lightest running shoes on the market, will take their training to the next level,” said Mikal Peveto, director of running for adidas America. “What excites us most is the tremendous response we’ve already seen from athletes across the board – from running to football to soccer. This is more than just a shoe for runners; it’s a shoe for the athlete who wants to reach higher, jump further and be faster.”

The adizero Feather 2 is the offseason training shoe of choice for Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller, who are featured wearing the adizero Feather 2 in adidas’ latest marketing program.

“What I do off the field in training makes the difference on game day,” said Miller. “It’s called the feather for a reason.  This is the lightest shoe I’ve ever run in for training.”

The adizero Feather 2 includes a SprintFrame that significantly reduces shoe weight while maintaining comfort and returning energy to each stride.  TORSION technology allows freedom of motion in the front and back of each shoe.  The SprintWeb, a lightweight mesh construction, provides maximum support and breathability while adiPrene+ and an adiWear rubber outsole ensure long-lasting durability and traction.

The adizero Feather 2 will be available in early July for $115 in 8 colorways on adidas.com and at retailers nationwide including Finish Line and Champs.
